Worksop College is one of the most renowned and traditional schools of the country. During the summer the College becomes our largest language and adventure camp with a fantastic international flavour mixed with traditional English culture.
You’ll feel like Harry Potter! Right when you walk in the venerable building, you’ll feel as if you’ve just entered Hogwarts: blackboards with golden inscriptions of former students, ancient oil paintings, and an impressive dining hall- it’s just as if you’ve time travelled to the past! You can’t help but feel giddy at the thought of spending your English holiday in this beautiful place. Accommodation at Worksop is spread across different sections of the huge manor house with a selection of spacious 2 to 6 bedded rooms.

Activities
Worksop is the BEST camp for sports enthusiasts. Gyms, swimming pool, tennis courts, squash courts, Astroturf with flood lights, climbing wall and an 18 hole golf course are only a fraction of the facilities here at camp.
The famous Sherwood Forest surrounds the campground and is perfect for mountain biking, orienteering and survival skills. You’ll also have a lot of fun at our soccer "World Cup", the hilarious voting of "Miss Sherwood Forest" and at Casino Night…not to mention the many other daily activities such as archery to quad motorbikes to airbrush tattoos. Every day in camp is a new adventure!
By the way: Worksop College is with 250+ summer campers not only our largest camp in England, but also has the most international participants. Our campers hail from Spain, Italy, France, Egypt, Israel, Oman, Mexico, China, South Korea, Russia, Japan and India just to name a few. Perhaps living with so many teenagers from so many different countries will be one of the greatest and most remarkable memories of your holiday at Worksop.
Englisch Lessons - learning in mixed classes!
The English classes at Worksop are designed for those who are at the INTERMEDIATE level level or higher, and whose goal is to speak as much English as possible. As we mentioned before, Worksop is the largest Xplore and Klub Group camp with a highly diverse international group. We try, when possible, to place students in classes with many different nationalities in order to advance the progress of your language proficiency.
The course content of the ADVANCED/PROFICIENCY level is quite challenging, however campers always bring an element of fun and this combination leads to a successful learning environment. By creating presentations and discussing topics such as Colloquial and Business English, students will have a positive English learning experience.
