This very trip was designed to maximize everything Florida has to offer! This excursion includes two weeks of language immersion with an American host family, plus a fun filled week touring Orlando’s world famous amusement parks.  Only Xplore offers this high intensity Florida language study vacation!

Welcome to Inverness/Orlando, Florida!  With Xplore you experience the American family life together with an English course and recreational activities – all this in beautiful Inverness in Citrus County.  Additionally, we will visit the world renowned theme parks of Disney and SeaWorld.  You just can’t get more American than that!

The journey begins in Inverness, a quaint city that lies just miles from the central Gulf Coast of Mexico. It is located half way between Tampa and Orlando in Citrus County.  With a population of approximately 7,500 Inverness is surrounded by lakes and forests and is well known for its family oriented outdoor activities. The area isn’t called “The Water Lover’s Florida” for nothing; our participants will have the once-in-a-lifetime experience of swimming with manatees!  Additionally, they will enjoy kayaking, baseball, going to the movies, shopping, the roller disco, and typical Florida “beach life” on the Gulf of Mexico.  Students will engage in a fun 25 hour English course and enjoy Inverness’ laidback, water-oriented culture that is centered on kayaking and tubing down the Rainbow River.

Inverness enjoys the benefits of its nearly year round tropical weather.  Average summer temperatures range from highs around 90 (F)/33(C) and lows around 70(F)/22(C).

After two weeks of language vacation and experiencing day-to-day life with an American host family in Inverness, we will travel to Orlando to stay in a youth-friendly hotel that is located near Disney’s giant theme parks!  Students will have a blast visiting five parks, relaxing in the hotel’s swimming pools, going out to dinner and shopping in the outlet malls! In Inverness you will live with an American family, in which you will be individually placed.  Important: your host family does not receive any financial compensation for your stay!

Our placement in Inverness/Orlando is limited to 25 spots; therefore we can guarantee exceptional care and supervision.  Xplore staff member Cinda Moore will personally care for the students throughout the entirety of the trip, including the Orlando excursion. Cinda has lived for many years in Inverness.  She will meet with the students over the course of the trip to discuss specifics of American everyday life and school life.  Competence, Individuality and fun – these make every Xplore USA language trip in the US unique!
